Created at the height of COVID, the title for this collage sprang from Gabriel Garcia Marquez’ surreal tale of love and loss in “Love in the Time of Cholera”.  

Having plenty of time on her hands to read, this artist discovered that both cholera and Covid shared something in common:  Whereas Death plays a major character in the drama of life, so too, does big, boisterous rebel-rousing LIFE!!

Marquez’ outlandish storytelling, outsize actors and never-ending sentences left an indelible mark on this artist and spearheaded a series exalting high hyperbole and gross understatement.
