The Fight Club
“You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain,
so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.” – James 4:2

What began as an exercise – a collage on the floor of my studio,
bearing the words “The Fight Club”, – gained significance
as the life of this artist changed trajectory.
Having withstood five career changes, relational fall-outs,
a spiraling depression and a crisis of confidence,
this artist questioned her faith.
What does it mean to follow Christ when circumstances contradict the promises of God?
“The Fight Club” aka “the Faith Club” looks through the lens of scripture and reaches for verses/individuals who possess that unapologetic, stick-it-to-it, tenacious, dig-your-heels-deep-in-the-ground, I-came-to-get-what-you-promised kind of faith that stirs. Fight for your territory, fight for your dreams, your victory, your calling, your life.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7
