““Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to Me; listen, that your soul may live.”” has been added to your cart. View cart

Completed in only forty-five minutes, this collage was composed entirely of cut paper and completed in record time. This artist carried the memory of seeing the exhibition “Frank Stella Unbound: Literature and Printmaking” at the Princeton Art Museum in 2018 which had a profound impact.
Source materiel came from Max Ernst visuals, cut scraps of paper and a book on Tudor England. “But down among the reeds and rushes…” is a reaction against what this artist saw as the myriad proliferation of slick, robotic, one-liner collages made digitally clogging social media.
